Join with others ON or EXCLUDED from Medicaid across the country to be visible, bold, and unapologetic in uniting for our healthcare rights. Rallies, vigils, marches, speak-outs and teach-ins will take place at various locations selected to publicly expose the impact of Medicaid cuts, work requirements, and the ongoing attacks on healthcare and our right to live.

The Nonviolent Medicaid Army is the ONLY national network in the United Stated led by people who are on or excluded from Medicaid. We know firsthand that Medicaid cuts equal death.

Our name is an echo of Dr. Martin Luther King's call to build a "nonviolent army of the poor" to transform this society from the bottom up.

Our true political independence was on display when we launched our Medicaid cut-offs Organizing Drive with the ending of pandemic protections under President Biden, which resulted in 25 million people purged from healthcare.

With the passage of the “Big, Beautiful Bill” for billionaires, millions more will be purged from Medicaid and it will be increasingly difficult for people to get the healthcare they need to survive, let alone thrive. Medicaid cuts result in hospital closures, impacting both rural, suburban, and urban communities while health care companies put profit before people’s lives.

Healthcare cuts mean delayed care, denied care, and death. But we're not dying in silence. All over the country, we're coming together for support, survival and strategy.

Join the Nonviolent Medicaid Army to take action on September 19th! That day, we'll announce our plans to make 2027 the year of MASS ACTION FOR MEDICAID - educating, agitating and organizing millions to defend and keep their Medicaid through collective navigation and appeals and grassroots healthcare lawyering.

In Pennsylvania, we will gather in front of the capitol building in Harrisburg to show the “Hoops and Hurdles” we have to jump through to keep our Medicaid! This will be a powerful, interactive, and creative event.
